Silly information Posted on July 3rd
The Tribune’s love affair with Barack Obama has degenerated into silliness. The article “Obama’s Chicago; Take our unauthorized tour of the candidate’s stomping grounds” (Tempo, June 25), complete with cartoon drawings, is neither news nor journalism.
What is the purpose of devoting an entire page to this topic when there is no space devoted to an analysis of Obama’s proposed tax plan, changes to Social Security or changes to Medicare insurance?
Why does the Tribune tell me where Obama drinks coffee but does not tell me that Obama’s tax plan would be “devastating to the world economy,” according to Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Mundell?
Why do I care where Obama plays basketball? I care about the fine print in his Social Security plan.
